Practice the basics! Great for beginners or BFC grads. Most of our dancers do both styles!

Combos & Choreo
Start with ‘Ori Basics, then put those steps into practice by learning contemporary Combos & Choreo.
Mondays 7-8.45pm
Hula Studies
Take your learning deeper by starting with Hula Basics then staying for further Hula movement practice and cultural application.
Wednesdays 7-8.45pm
Beginner Foundation Course
Learn from the roots in a culturally grounded environment.

Not sure where to start?
Join either of our Basics classes (Mondays 7pm or Wednesdays at 7pm) to get to know our instructors and our community. If there is a Beginners Foundation Course starting, we suggest you jump in! Most dancers love both Hula and ‘Ori and join both styles. Our classes and Courses are accessible for all bodies, genders, ages, and abilities. Join the ‘ohana!
(Hawaiian) Hula
Masculine and feminine dances. Slower, deeper, and more meditative movement. Improve strength, grace, fluidity, and coordination. Relax into your body while mindfully connecting to ancient culture.
(Tahitian) 'Ori
Masculine and feminine dances. Quick-paced, high-energy movement. Improve stamina, strength, coordination, and energy. Get your blood pumping in an upbeat and exciting environment.

Mondays 7pm
The Studio & OnlineRanging from soft and graceful to deep isolating workouts, this is a place to practice your basic Hula movements and increase strength, stamina, confidence, and grace, while building cultural knowledge.
This weekly class is easy to drop in and out of so you can join at any time. Though we always recommend starting with the Beginner Foundation Course, many people like to get started while waiting for the next BFC to start and this a great place to jump into whether you're a first-timer or a more experienced dancer.
Absolute Beginners are welcome to this class and will have a great time! We typically have a handful of first-timers, so you won’t be alone.
Come in and get a sense of our dance community, our teaching styles, and Hula.
Class structure:
We start with a warmup to activate our bodies
Then, we stretch to open up the body, and energy flow
Next, we move into step breakdowns and drills focusing on repetition, breathing, and coordination in order to build knowledge and confidence.

The Studio & OnlineOnce Students have shown proficiency in the basic steps, they may join Hula Studies where they will dive deeper into the movement and cultural practice of Hula.
Class starts with Hula Basics then moves into 45mins of deeper Hula Studies.

A drop-in is an individual class (£16) and the Membership is a calendar month of classes (£60).
With either of the above, you will be able to join live in-studio or online via Zoom.Memberships also give you access to our entire catalogue of session recordings so you can practice in your own time, while Drop-In only gives you access to the single live session.

Beginners Foundation Course

8 Weeks/16 Weeks
1 class per week for 1hr
Live in-studio, Online, or via self-paced video
The courses are designed for Beginners to learn step-by-step in a culturally grounded context. This is great for anyone with absolutely no experience or those who are looking to build more confidence with the basic steps and/or cultural understanding.Each session builds upon the previous session, and commitment to the whole course is suggested.
We usually offer the option to join either Foundations of Hula (8wks), Foundations of ‘Ori (8wks), or both courses (16wks).
£125 each

If there is no BFC running at the time of interest, please don’t hesitate to drop in to our All Levels Class (Mondays at 7pm UK, BASE Studios in Vauxhall, or Online). Absolute Beginners are welcome to this class and will have a great time! We typically have a handful of first-timers, so you won’t be alone.
This is also a great way to meet the community and get a sense of the teaching styles and the movement. You can join a few of these classes and then join the next BFC once the dates are released.

Via self-paced video sessions for Beginners to Advanced dancers.
Courses are designed to focus on a specific theme or goal, within a designated amount of time. Each session builds upon the previous session, and commitment to the whole course is suggested.
We offer courses that are tailored to beginners, advanced, or mixed levels.
