Krystenβs classes are powerful and supportive, engaging body, mind and soul in order to help you create a deep connection between movement and compelling storytelling, past, present, and future.
She believes passionately in perpetuating positivity through creativity and providing a space where others can build and grow together.
Danielle Pasion
Assistant Director
Growing up between California and Hawaiβi, Dani began dancing for the Koβolina Dance Group when she was 5-years-old, then danced with Le Ala Polynesian after a break during her adolescence. Upon moving to London in 2016, she began dancing with LSHO and became part of our award-winning competition team, performing in London, Europe, and Tahiti, where she was part of our 1st Place Mehura team and 3rd place βΕteβa team at HiP and 3rd Place Mehura Team at OTN.
Dani is an integral part of LSHO, bringing her expertise in both dancing and teaching to every element of the schoolβ whether itβs helping to train our competition and performance teams, bringing a deep sense of cultural understanding to our classes, or helping our dancers progress with confidence, pride, and joy.
Tehani Robinson
Lead 'Ori Tahiti Instructor
Tehani's aunt, Tumata Robinson, taught her to dance around the time she learned to walk. At 14, she joined Les Grands Ballets de Tahiti, one of Tahiti's most famous dance companies. She later danced with award-winning group Tahiti Ora and toured with them in Japan and France. Today, she shares her passion and love for Tahitian dance and culture in workshops around the world.
In New York City, she co-founded 'Ori Manea Tahitian Dance School with Kim Davidson, and is now the lead 'Ori Tahiti Instructor for LSHO, where she has found a second home.
In 2019, Tehani won 1st Place Overall Soloist at the Heiva I Paris. That same year, she choreographed for our team of LSHO dancers who won 1st Place Mehura Overall in Paris and 3rd place Mehura Overall at the 'Ori Tahiti Nui Competition.
Tehani brings the vibrancy, grace, and athleticism of 'Ori Tahiti, and her style authentically reflects some of the most exciting dance happening in Tahiti today. Her warm teaching approach is technique driven and focuses on developing your skills and creative expression as a dancer.
Satomi Uchida
Lead Dancer
As our longest-standing member, Satomi has been an integral part of the LSHO journey from very early days. Upon moving to London from Japan, she spent several years searching for somewhere to learn Hula and βOri, and was finally able to begin when Krysten Resnick opened LSHO in 2011. She has since learned solely under the direction of LSHO and has participated in exhibitions, performances and competition in London, Europe, and Tahit. She recently won 3rd Place Soloist at Hula βOni E Europe and was part of our 2nd Place Auana team.
The ability to communicate and explore concepts about the beauty of the natural world and our place within it, across cultures, generations and language barriers through the medium of dance is of great interest to her as a student of Hula and βOri and, with her dedication to the protection and perpetuation of these dances, alongside her ability to instil a love for them within others, Satomi has become LSHOβs Lead Dancer. Through Hula and βOri, Satomi has found a sense of happiness, confidence and a freedom to express herself through dance and enjoys sharing that positivity with others. Satomi is absolutely delighted to represent her βOhana and the community thatβs brightened up her life in London.
