In this course you will practice basic steps and learn new ones, dancing to mele in order to develop an ear for the music and a body that is confident in the movements and techniques of Hula.

What to wear: Please wear a pā'ū or pareo if you have one, otherwise wear something comfortable to move in.
What to bring: Water, a notebook, patience and enthusiasm for yourself and your process!

FEBRUARY 26

  • Waioli set 1: Ka’o, Kaholo, Hela, Kawelu, Oniu and Uwehe Review.

  • Oniu and Uwehe practice.

  • Hand positions practice.
