Level 2 Course (online)
Technique, Musicality, Confidence.
In this course, you will build upon your technique, musicality, strength, and endurance in order to become more confident in your movment.
This course is great for those who have completed the Beginner Foundation Course, or who have a basic knowledge of their fundamental steps.
Dancers should have some experience with Hula and ‘Ori Tahiti.

What we'll cover
Review and drills of basic steps and their names
Breakdowns of how to transition between moves
An intro to step variations and layered postures
Short combo choreos to various pehe and mele
Intro to storytelling arm gestures
Practice, practice, practice!
Students will be asked to perform one short combo of their choice at the end of the course. It is not necessary, but it’s encouraged. It’s a safe space!

Access to recordings is available for 10 weeks.

Krysten
Resnick
Krysten is the founder and director of LSHO. She has studied with some of the greatest minds of 'Ori Tahiti and Hula, and her cultural and historical knowledge never fails to engage the students on several levels. She has trained our competition groups, as well as learners of all ages. Her warm and encouraging approach helps each student discover their unique talents.
Melissa
Perez
Melissa has trained in several dance styles, including Latin, Ballroom, and Flamenco, and began her Hula and ‘Ori journey with LSHO many years ago. As one of LSHO’s competition dancers and class instructors, Melissa brings a practical and exciting approach, helping dancers to get the most out of their movement and build confidence in their dance.
